Have You Always Dreamed of Visiting the Lavender Fields in Provence? Well, you do not have to travel all the way to France to enjoy the gorgeous fields of lavender.

The Cotswolds Lavender Field located in the UK gives you a breathtaking sea of purple stretching across rolling English hills. Spend a day wandering through the rows, taking photos, exploring woodland trails, and treating yourself to lavender everything. It is every bit as magical as it sounds.

Nestled in the heart of the Cotswold hills, this family run lavender farm grows over 35 varieties of lavender across 45 stunning acres. The flowers are harvested and sent to an onsite distillery to extract the essential oils used in a range of products.

Wander through endless rows of purple blooms and then take home freshly made lavender soap, skincare, or tea. It is the perfect way to spend a summer day.

The Cotswolds Lavender Field is open from 17 June to 5 August 2026. Peak bloom is in July, when the fields are at their most vibrant and the colour is absolutely incredible.

The field is open seven days a week from 10am to 5pm, with the last entry at 4pm.

Visit during the week if you can, ideally early in the morning or later in the afternoon. There is no timed entry, which means the middle of the day gets busy. 

Tickets are priced between £5.75 and £7.75 depending on when you visit. During the off-peak period from 17 to 26 June, adult tickets are £5.75 and children aged 5 to 15 are £3.

From 27 June through August, prices rise to £7.75 for adults and £3.50 for children. Season passes are also available at £19.40 for adults and £8.75 for children. Children under five always get in free.

No advance booking is needed. Tickets are purchased when you arrive and they only accept card payments. 

The farm sits just outside the village of Snowshill, about a 10 minute drive from the town of Broadway. There is a large free car park onsite, so driving is the easiest option. 

If you are visiting via public transport, the nearest train station is Moreton-in-Marsh. From the station, you can grab a taxi for the 15 minutes drive to the field. Alternatively, take a bus from the station to Broadway and then a short taxi to the farm.

Comfortable shoes are a must. The ground across the lavender fields can be soft and uneven, so leave the heels at home. Pack a light jacket and a compact umbrella too — this is England, and a summer shower can appear from nowhere.

Do not forget to pack a light jacket and an umbrella too, just in case of a summer rain shower. This is England, after all. And do not let a cloudy sky fool you into skipping the sunscreen. I have gotten a proper sunburn on what felt like a cool, overcast day.

A hat is a great option to protect from the sun and is cute for photos. I would also recommend insect repellent. With that many flowers around there will definitely be bugs.

Broadway is one of the Cotswolds’ most gorgeous villages, with honey stone buildings and cozy charm. The village is only a 10 minute drive from the lavender fields, which makes the Broadway Hotel a perfect place to stay for your visit. If you prefer the convenience of a larger, better connected town, Moreton-in-Marsh is the perfect choice. The Manor House Hotel, a beautifully preserved building dating back to around 1545, sits right in the centre. It is a 5 minute walk to the train station, with direct links to London and Oxford. There is plenty to do beyond the lavender rows themselves. The Rain or Shine Theatre Company is bringing a comedy performance of Pickwick Papers to the farm on Thursday 16 July. Tickets will be available from April, so keep an eye out.

Wander through the showcase field displaying different lavender varieties, or explore the wildflower meadow. The Beechwood Trail is a lovely woodland walk that leads to a viewing point overlooking the Vale of Evesham. Pick up a kids activity worksheet at the ticket office to spot woodland creatures along the way.

If you visit towards the end of July, do not miss the distillery tour. Watch a live demonstration of how essential oils are extracted from the lavender and learn about the history of lavender in the UK. It is a fascinating addition to your visit.

Head to the cabin for lavender flavoured drinks and treats. They have everything from lavender tea, lavender ice cream, lavender lemon cake, and lavender biscuits. Everything is made locally and absolutely worth trying.

The onsite shop stocks a beautiful range of lavender products including soap, lotion, bath salts, essential oil, candles, and more. It is genuinely difficult to leave empty handed. You can also buy items in their online shop.

Just down the road from the Cotswolds Lavender Field, Snowshill Manor is one of the quirkiest places in the Cotswolds. You can see real samurai armour, a room full of clocks and bicycles, and a miniature village in the gardens. There is a small café on the grounds which is perfect for a quick bite. 

Only about five minutes from the lavender fields, Broadway Tower is the perfect spot for sunset views across the valley. Grab a bite at the small café and soak in the scenery.

Keep the flower field adventure going and visit the Confetti Flower Fields nearby. It is only open for a few weeks in June, but the vast fields of pink, purple, blue, and white delphiniums are absolutely stunning and perfect for photos. Still not done with flowers? Several stunning gardens sit within 30 minutes of the Cotswolds lavender fields. Snowshill Manor & Gardens, Kiftsgate Court Gardens, Hidcote Garden, Batsford Arboretum, Bourton House Garden, and Sezincote House & Garden are all worth a visit. Any one of them makes a beautiful addition to your day.

Do I need to book in advance? 

No advance booking is required. Tickets are purchased on arrival by card only.

Can I pick the lavender? 

No. The fields are for display and photography only. Lavender products are available to buy in the onsite gift shop.

Can I bring a picnic? 

Yes, picnics are very welcome. There are picnic benches on site, plus a small cabin for drinks and snacks.

Can I bring my dog? 

Yes, this lavender field is dog friendly. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.

What if it rains?

The fields stay open even if it rains. I always recommend checking the weather before visiting. In cases of extreme weather, the field may close entirely for the day.

Are there toilets onsite? 

Yes, there are temporary toilets with a handwashing station on site.

Can I use my drone? 

No, drones are not permitted at the lavender fields.
